A modern way of living.
Charleston House – the home and studio of the painters Vanessa Bell and Duncan Grant – was where some of the early 20th century’s most radical artists, writers and thinkers came together to imagine a different way of life.
A century later, Charleston's new director invited JWA and designers Kellenberger–White to create a new brand strategy and visual style that would reflect the experimental thinking and liberal values of its founders and inspire a more socially inclusive narrative for today.
Working very closely with the core team, we re-defined Charleston as a bold, contemporary and pioneering public space, where art in all its forms has a clear social value to provoke new thinking.
