Philip Browning, Copywriter and Editor
Philip is a copywriter and editor with over 18 years experience of working with clients ranging from multi-nationals to museums, and in every medium from websites to the Wall Street Journal. He has written marketing materials and helped develop a distinctive tone of voice for many arts organisations. Recent clients include Crafts Council, Liverpool Biennial, Museums Sheffield, National Museums of Scotland, Photographers’ Gallery, Somerset House and Victoria and Albert Museum. He also wrote Art for Tate, the £100 million appeal for donations to Tate’s collection, and the Manifesto for Museums, for the Association of British Art Galleries and Museums.
Ned Campbell, Creative Director
Ned has been designing brands for more than 20 years, the last 7 years focusing on work with clients in the arts and culture sector. Major projects include a comprehensive brand programme for the new Institute of Contemporary Art/Boston, including strategy, identity, communications and environments; acting creative director for The London Library in St James’s Square, overseeing total brand and communication programmes since 2005, including identity and membership materials, a £20M+ capital campaign, all national media advertising, and a complete bibliographic and way-finding signage system. Ned’s work with JWA includes design and brand consultancy for The Ashmolean Museum, The Photographers’ Gallery, Museums Sheffield, the Whitworth Art Gallery and Glyndebourne.
Ned worked for nine years as a design team leader and creative director at Wolff Olins. He came to London in 1996 after working as a designer in Boston, Austin and Manhattan. He has an MFA in Graphic Design from Yale University School of Art and is a trustee of the Westminster Opera Co.
Sandra Greaves, Consultant and Copywriter
Sandra is a consultant and copywriter with extensive experience in creating brands to drive change. She worked at Wolff Olins from 2001-2006 and is now a freelance associate of JWA. Her clients have included Amnesty International, the Arts Council, Tate, the University of Westminster, the Portuguese Tourist Authority and Unilever.
Before joining Wolff Olins, Sandra spent six years in television, working as a researcher, producer and director on documentaries and current affairs programmes. She has recently co-written a business book on collaboration.
Alice Huang, Business Consultant
Alice is an independent marketing communications and business development consultant. She has 18 years of marketing communications and business development experience where business, creative and media issues intersect. She has held director roles at Wolff Olins, Hill & Knowlton and Porter Novelli. She has also worked in a communication consultancy capacity with Wolff Olins’ clients and partners including London 2012 Olympics, Goldman Sachs, Laban dance school, Prince’s Trust, Unilever and World Gold Council. Her campaigning experience includes a series of initiatives such as Rebranding Germany and Made in Japan to put branding on the boardroom and consumer agenda.
Born and raised in Hong Kong, Alice has lived in the UK since attending MA (Management) at Kent University, where she was awarded a scholarship for further studies in France. She also holds an MSc (Econ) degree from LSE and is trained in journalism at the University of Westminster.
Jeremy Hildreth, Place Branding specialist
Jeremy Hildreth is one of the world’s foremost practitioners of place branding. He is the only professional to have worked with both ‘founding fathers’ of the field, Simon Anholt and Wally Olins, and he was head of place branding at Saffron (London, Madrid, New York) for five years. Jeremy has advised countries (Northern Ireland, Lithuania, Poland, East Timor, Ghana, and Mauritius among them) and cities (most notably London) and regions (e.g. County Durham in northern England, Swedish Lapland and the state of Rio de Janeiro, Brazil).
